Welll tonight was quite odd....but I always find that if I go straight out after working with no plans or if I go to an exhibition and drink the free vino I end up in strange scenarios......tonight wasnt so strange but winding nonetheless..
Spent all day tryin to get a hold on this work for the show in London but I fucked up all my etching plates in the acid-if u know about  printmaking you will know that copper plates are SERIOUSLY the way to go, steel is bloody filthy stuff and ends up being more trouble than its worth -got some great new images down but can barely see them as the filth of the steel overtakes everything!gah!...anyway enough boring art crap.....oh no hold on....went to a Patick Scott opening tonight,where each piece was 25,000 euro and upwards!!...what the hell am I doing wrong??athough he is like quadruple my age so it could be a while yet!..I think you may have to be dead before making the serious bucks!
anyway, after the free sparkly wine, we headed over to 'suas', a cocktail type bar which was playing god awful house music but had nice drinks.....then onto the 'cruiscin lan' to a metal night(or so we thought),anything alternative at this stage would do me!!!!...paid ten quid in only to find 10 or so folks dancing to some dj and turned out to be  jungle/acid something or other night....cudnt get out fast enough!!!!would have needed to be extremely drunk to have even swayed to the music...thankfully I knew the doorman so he gave me my money back and I headed back to Fred Zepplins...was quiet enough in there, the music was pretty crap and I reckon I was by far one of the oldest there(female anyway)..everyone was very loud, very drunk and very enthusiastic!!........well not that there is anything wrong with enthusiasm but this was serious ott action!
ended up going home early , had wanted to stay out and get hammered but only mnaged to get 2 thirds of the way there .....need to save my energy for tomorrow night where I imagine lots of fun will be had!......very much in the need of some drunkeness, happiness and silliness........havn't been up to it for a while but need to get my head out of the sand...
Sunday is 'Doubletime'-swing and salsa night with my dance class and some great dj'sdoing 40's and fifties  ....Thursday is 'Ladies Vintage night' where there will be a vintage make up artist grooming us to the nines ......so hopin to glam it up.
Apart from that really need to get this work finished for Chelsea in a couple of weeks....if any of you are round London come to the 'Untitled Artists Fair ' 30th May-1st June with Champagne opening night -email me if u want an invite...also hopin to be at Dead and Buried that wkd...so let me know if any of you shall be in attendance!
I am a bit pished now so headin off to me bed...Oíche Mhaith!XX

Well today was a very nostalgic and pleasant day! I know I should be out on the slates being older n all but In definately old in the bones as I am too wrecked...but I also genuinely forgot when I woke up that it was my birthday as Im hardly jumping out of bed to organise pass the parcel! 27 aint that old anyway but new years eve took its tole on my liver so givin it a rest tonight!
Had a lovely day at my oldest friends house with her baby twins who are the cutest and freakiest things in theworld...I mean they are gorgeous and cute but twins in general are a bit freaky.....they have their own language and look after each other in a weird way.....they were talking gibberish and feeding each other which was funny!....they had a lunch and birthday cake for me with champers and the kids were dead excited bout blowing the candles out.....I had to keep relighting them....
Then went to see The Wizard of Oz(original) in the Cinema....have been two days in a row now..once with Grey and once with my mum...I did feel like I was 7again not 27.....was quite magical...but then I love the film andseeing it on the big screen was cool...
I am saving my energy for the party next week which will be great cos some of my oldest friends from home are coming....
BTW i have had a few drinks so excuse my sentimental shitery...
I am looking forward to mixing Irish friends with new Nottingham friends...twill be great I hope!
Am still in Ireland so missing Kreepers AGAIN!!!!....goin to Goth -X 'Cure Night'...might be good although the Cure all night could be hard to dance to! It shall indeed be Whiskey fuelled gan dabht!(without doubt!)x

Just watched 'Perfume' last night and I REALLY dont know whether it was a bit shit,weird or just well too feckin long! Has anyone seen it? The photography is amazing but the ending.....(2.25 hours in)..WTF???...Its2 and a half hours long and I reckon ou could just have gone in there and cut out at least half of the twaddling about...Pity cos it started good...RANT OVER..

wELL LADS N LASSIES!

I am yet again a divil for updating anything in this livejournal zone but here goes...
Been completely out of orbit and havn't been in contact with people in about 2 months..esp Nottingham folk due to the serious amount of work Ive been doing for various exhibitions and shows...Literally been working like a dog..printing,painting,framing,hanging,manning,selling...you name it....and that was all up until Christmas Eve...then lo and behold during the grand christmas dinner..I got the flu comin on..had to go to bed before the coffee was poured!...Had two Turkish ladies round for dinner at the folks house..so i made my bows and went to bed...didnt surface for 3days...worst flu in ages..am still sick but not half as bad.....
My brother made the most amazing dinner though! But I never want to see another mince pie as long as I live! 
I hope mulled wine stays around all year though -its my drink of choice...oh and hot port!
I was in a group show in London 2+2=5 in December which went ok..none of us sold anything and the gallery guy was an arse to say the least but at least its gettin me name around....
Did the Angel Candid Arts Trust Christmas Fair in London for 3days after that and 2 shows in Cork ...sold about 12-15 pieces so was well chuffed...although I still need to get back to the grindstone asap!! Loads to do .as always...
Made shed loads of contacts and mingled with a lot of artists so hopin to do a few more group shows etc during the year....
In other news..seeing as Christmas was rather shit being sick n all...Im celebrating my birthday on the 12th January in Nottingham....I have a few friends from Ireland flying over and would love the Nottingham folk to come also...still preciding over a theme......'casino'.....'come as a song'....dunno..open to suggestions???? anyone coming from ireland there are flights with ryanair 20euros return including taxes fromcork or dublin to east midlands......
I will or course be emailing invites hopefully by Monday..Londoners also coming should book train now as its only 18quid return and theres a few gettin it..

Ok , so I havn't posted ..in an age! But this was a bit shocking!Arrived in Dublin yesterday avo after the bumpiest flight in the world....it was altogether a very random flight anyway....Everyone seemed to be on stag do's or rugby events or something or just major piss ups to Ireland cos it was 2pm and everyone around us was pissed(we weren't)...It was REALLY annoying....I especially freaked out cos the pilot was talking a lot when we were bumpin around and I couldn't hear him for yobs askin for twenty drinks from the trolley or feeling up the airhostesses!....I dont even think there was one Irish person on the flight and they were all pissed at 2pm so I am not taking anymore drunken Irish jokes cos these guys were from elsewhere...Anyway to make a long story boring.....one guy asked if he could go to the toilet and the airhostess told him he couldn't because the seatbelt lights were flashing.....When the plane stopped and people were getting their bags from the overhead lockers this guy clearly couldnt wait to queue for the exit and knelt down next to us and pissed on the floor!!!!!!NICE!!
So after that I was completely horrified ...it just about topped off the flight....
Am now in Dublin with 3 friends from Cork and Graeme and the weekend is goin great so far!...Went to Rí Rá last night to a dj set which to be honest was a bit crap but the last  few tunes were good...although it was my 6th wine which for me is enough!...The djs were Tim Goldsworthy and  James Murphy so a bit of an LCD Soundsystem night....Tonite is Miss Kittin in the Tivoli which should be great!!Its my 3rd time seein her and I always have the best night at her gigs..plus loads of Dublin friends will be there..
Another funny thing was...I was passing the Buffalo shop and was drunkenly drooling over a pair of lush purple heels when the sole of my Buffalo's fell apart!!It was a sign from the Buffalo shop to say'BUY ME'......Well I wont be buying them cos they were a squillion euro......
Apart from that I am doin a group show in London(painting exhibition)in a few weeks and hopefully a piece for the Brighton Festival in 2008 if my proposal gets accepted....Its a fairytale project which I am very excited about....as for Christmas cashflow..I am selling some more work at the Islington Art Fair on Torrens Street(opp Slimelight)...around December 14th also so shall be busy as a bumble bee for the next two weeks......

Well today has been the usual Monday vibe..with a few differences..lethargic..mildly hungover from Sat night still...not wanting to get out of bed at any o'clock in the morning..etc etc...Had half planned in my head to be good and go to the gym at 7am but that was not really gonna happen!...Have been putting it off for weeks...goin forward and back to Ireland for various reasons has been messing up any routines..diet or exercise...you get into a frame of mind and it becomes increasingly more difficult to get back into a disciplined routine that seemed so easy at the time! You just can't imagine yourself back in that energetic, positive frame of mind...and no matter what you think you just seem to forget how much more positively you think after you've been at the gym or at any exercise/dance class...
SO......I bit the bullet and went to the gym tonight with graeme and we definately feel loads better...I personally like the treadmill best since I started going to the gym a while ago  so spent 60mins on that and burned 850 cals which is great considering I havn't been eating healthy with all these bbq's,birthday parties and dinners etc!
Anyway, enough boring shite....I swore I would not write anything too boring here but feel that people only know me through club environment so a bit of boring twaddle(english words Im hearing that are getting stuck in my mouth) would be let away with!! I promise to be more interesting next time!!
Had 2 hour driving lesson today(Im having 2 2hour lessons a week) which are costing me a bomb and Im gonna have to cut it down ..I was a lot less pannicky when I started but for some reason I pannicked today and almost forgot my left from my right and became  completely dislexic!- Reckon the alcohol was still in my system-well thats my excuse anyway! I really shouldnt have a lesson on a Monday-esp after a whiskey binge on a  Sat night!
Was at Lee's bbq/birthday yesterday and couldn't really drink as was in a 'fragile' state...never want to see a burger again as my freezer is exploding with them since our bbq last week....btw if anyone wants any burgers let me know!!haha!
BBQ was great tho, lovely atmosphere,nice people and chocolate bananas-which I had never heard of!
Had a great night Saturday ..wasn't that impressed with Misfits gig and had been looking forward to it....the atmosphere wasn't really there and the sound was pretty crap I thought ....anyway..the rig was good...I went out with loads of sexy birds and we danced to cheesy choons and I woke up with a thumping heart and 'we built this city on rock and roll' going over and over in my head...including all instrumentation(if u could call it that!) and backing vocals!..Christ , it always happens after rock city/rig!
Had sumthin else to say but it has slipped out of my weary head...am off now to pick up some tips from nigella....and try and remember how to download video from my video camera to soundforge as Im way behind on shed loads of stuff!!GAH!

Ok Im regrettin this livejournal malarky already! Have no clue how to use it or who's who as all ur names are top secret superhero names!!...but i guess no one woul know who I was either.....for those of u who are bored...Grainneuaile was a historic figure-the pirate queen of Ireland!A-har!
